Welcome to WebGold Digital. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules and guidelines for using our website and working with us on web design, SEO, app development, graphic design and training services. By visiting our website, contacting us, or hiring us for a project, you agree to the terms outlined below.
We have tried to write this in plain language so it is easy to understand, not buried in confusing legal jargon. If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out to us directly.
Who We Are
WebGold Digital is a digital agency based in Nsawam, Ghana, offering web design, search engine optimisation (SEO), mobile app development, graphic design and digital skills training to businesses and individuals across Ghana.
Our Services
We provide the following services, either individually or as combined packages depending on what you need:
- Website design and development
- Search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Mobile app development
- Graphic design and branding
- Web design and digital skills training (WebGold Digital Academy)
The exact scope of work for any project will be agreed upon with you in writing, by email, WhatsApp, or a signed proposal, before work begins.
Getting Started With a Project
Before we start any paid work, we will agree with you on the project scope, timeline, and price. A deposit is usually required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion or at agreed milestones.
We rely on you to provide accurate information, content, images, and timely feedback during the project. Delays in providing these materials may extend your project timeline, and we are not responsible for delays caused by missing information on your end.
Payments
All prices quoted are in Ghana Cedis (GHS) unless otherwise stated. Payment can be made via Mobile Money, bank transfer, or other methods we agree on at the start of the project.
Once a deposit has been paid and work has started, deposits are non-refundable. This covers the time and resources already committed to your project. If a project is cancelled partway through, you will only be billed for work completed up to that point.
Revisions and Changes
Most of our packages include a reasonable number of revisions, which will be specified at the start of your project. Additional changes outside the agreed scope, or requests made after a project has been marked complete, may attract extra charges. We will always let you know before any extra cost is applied.
Project Timelines
We do our best to deliver projects within the timeline agreed upon at the start. However, timelines can be affected by factors such as late feedback, missing content, third party delays (such as domain registrars or hosting providers), or unforeseen circumstances. We will always communicate with you if a delay occurs.
Ownership of Work
Once a project is paid for in full, ownership of the final website, app, or design transfers to you, the client. Until full payment is received, WebGold Digital retains ownership and may withhold final files or login access.
We reserve the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio, on our website, and on our social media pages, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.
Any third party tools, plugins, themes, stock images, or licensed software used in your project remain subject to their own respective licensing terms.
Hosting and Domains
If we assist you with purchasing a domain name or hosting plan, these are typically registered in your name and remain your property. You are responsible for renewing your domain and hosting subscriptions on time. We are not responsible for any downtime, data loss, or website issues caused by lapsed hosting or domain renewals.
Maintenance and Support
Unless a maintenance package has been agreed upon, our service covers the design and development of your project up to launch. Ongoing updates, security monitoring, and content changes after launch are available as a separate maintenance service, which can be discussed with us directly.
WebGold Digital Academy (Training Services)
For anyone enrolling in our web design, SEO, app development, or graphic design training programs, the following applies:
- Course fees must be paid before access to training materials or sessions is granted, unless a payment plan has been agreed.
- Course fees are non-refundable once training has commenced, except in cases where WebGold Digital is unable to deliver the agreed training.
- Certificates of completion, where applicable, are issued only after all required coursework or projects have been completed.
Acceptable Use
When using our website or working with us, you agree not to:
- Use our services for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Attempt to copy, resell, or redistribute our training materials without permission
- Provide false information that could affect the outcome of your project
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone who violates these terms.
Limitation of Liability
We work hard to deliver quality websites, apps, designs, and training, but we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes such as exact sales figures, traffic numbers, or search engine rankings, as these depend on many factors outside our direct control.
WebGold Digital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, our services, or any project we deliver, to the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law.
Privacy
Any personal information you share with us, such as your name, phone number, email, or business details, is used solely for the purpose of communicating with you and delivering our services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or for legal reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be handled in accordance with Ghanaian law.
